Bodybuilding Before-And-After: Josh

This isn't the best before-and-after I've seen on Bodybuilding.com, but it's impressive that this guy gained 65 pounds (of muscle, I'm assuming) in 18 months. That's going from 145 pounds to 210 pounds. Hey, I can do that!

So, just how does one go about gaining 65 pounds? Well, nutrition-wise, Josh credits Muscle Milk (which is total garbage, from what I've heard) and "a whole lot of food." OK, I can rally around that. The only supplement I use is Cytogainer (aka Tobygainer), a powdered weight gainer that also contains creatine. Everything else that enters my body is chicken, turkey, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice, olive oil, and booze. Try it sometime - you'll lose any appreciation you once had for food, but at least you'll be huge!

As far as his workout routine is concerned, it appears Josh overtrains big time. Flat bench, decline bench, incline bench, machine flyes, and dumbbell flyes - five sets of each, all on a Monday? For real? This guy is all bench presses and curls. I would never model my own workout after his. (This is my personal opinion; I'm not a licensed trainer.)

At the end of the day, Josh put on 65 pounds, but, for crying out loud, his waist is 38 inches! Time to hop off the bulking wagon, my friend. He looks good and I half-suspect that he isn't anywhere close to 210 pounds, if his picture is any indication, but a 38-inch waist is not acceptable, in my opinion. I want to look like a V from the waist up, not an hourglass, m'kay?

You are going to be skinny all your life, YOU ARE AN EGOTISTICAL TWINK. Besides I saw you out and you look fffffffffffat. Good job!

He seems to have put on most of his weight about the neck area.

I too use CytoGainer, but isn't it just glorified Muscle Milk? Same company; same brand. I use Muscle Milk in the afternoon on workout days but have not heard the aforementioned rumors that its junk.

Best! Glad you're back!

Obviously, I meant "it's" junk. Damn Sat morning.

Actually his Monday workout is not that bad. He isn't really overtraining that much. Incline upper chest, decline lower chest, bench press..so its pretty much hitting all angles of the chest. Looks good to me and the fly is another angle. I'm not sure about the 5 sets though. But hey everyone's body is different.

Yeah, that 38 waist is sort've crazy. Hmm could be a typo. 38 is pretty big, and he doesn't look it in his pictures. Maybe he meant 28?

Goodness, that has to be a typo. There's no way in hell is that a 38" waist -- I should know, as I sadly had one of those once.

He doesn't look that much different between the before and after pics. He looks great in both, as far as I'm concerned, but I don't see a significant change.

Um... "@ss motivation"? Is he from bodybuilding.com or bottomsintraining.com?

why u putting all those chemicals in your system? think of the guys who swallow your load and also have to ingest that artificial stuff. hey, maybe you could bottle your cum and sell it on the market as Creamatine!

I have to agree with icecube-he doesn't look like he gained anything (his chest and abs look exactly the same).

i think this guy in the pictures looked better "before."

dude i don't get why someone would try to be a meathead when they look better beforehand, quid pro quo.

What an enormous waste of time. I guess people obsess about their bodies when there's very little going on in their heads.

I'm assuming you've read 'Scrawny to Brawny'?

TOBY SAYS: "SCRAWNY TO BRAWNY" IS MY BIBLE.
