Quick update, because I promised one for Jamie
1. I had all of my wisdom teeth extracted on Monday morning. Two of them were impacted. Do you know what this means? It means I can't eat solid foods. It means I have chipmunk cheeks. Oh, and it means Vicodin. Lots and lots of Vicodin.
2. My motto last year was "207 in 2007" - as in, 207 pounds. That didn't quite pan out. I ended the year at 180 pounds. Not bad, given that I was 167 at around Thanksgiving. In related news, my boyfriend recently (and unintentionally) surpassed the 207 mark, so, um, congratulations to him.
3. I have resolved in 2008 to work on my abs, follow my instincts, and cook for my boyfriend more often.
I need to go to bed. My face hurts. I'll post a real update soon.

800mg of ibuprofen every six hours. You won't even need the vicodin if your oral surgeon was worth his weight in salt. You send them to me.

When in high school, I had four wisdom teeth extracted, one shattered upon removal and one had to be cut out.
Afterwards, I wasn't given any pain medication and went back to school two days later.
Oh, and I woke up in the middle of surgery to the sounds of, "He's waking up! Give him more! Give him more!"

I woke up to the sounds of the crunching as the surgeon broke one of the teeth. Either I didn't feel it, though, or I passed back out. And then I got a dry socket which was bad - very bad. Not enough vicodin in the world. Well, at least not in my bottle.

A liquid only diet? It will be like you were in college again.

When I had all of my wisdom teeth pulled and after the swelling went down I noticed that my face shape changed.

My dentist didn't knock me out, he just numbed me. I sat there awake for three hours while he removed three impacted teeth. He was really good though and I hardly had any pain afterward.

If that's not a "real" update, then just do more like that. Do more! Do more!

Happy New Year, glad to see a blog. I was blessed to be put under for my wisdom teeth removal. My friend, who had his done at the same time had air in spots where the teeth were removed. He told me that REALLY hurt.
Your bf can join my club of being unintentionally over 200 pounds (I'm 205 in the morning).

So happy to have you back, even if you are suffering.
But, then, aren't you always.

Take good care of yourself, sweetie.

What a coincidence- I had the exact same procedure only a few weeks ago.
At least you got Vicodin- I had to make do with ibuprofen and Panadeine.
Get well soon.

Holy craptastic! ALL four?! I had two that were impacted as well. I could hear the guy breaking them to get them out. At that lil' fingertip heart monitor of mine was banging off the ceiling when that went down.
On the plus side it was my first introduction to a morphine-based pain killer and I begged the ExBF for those fuckers every 4 hours like clockwork. It felt like a shotgun blew a load inside my head for 24-hours...then it all got sorta' fuzzy and calm. And I lost 6lbs.
Good luck with all of this. AND flush the sockets like they said!

I had all four out in hospital cause they were so impacted. I had two weeks of intense pain and then broke my jaw in two places (where the lower right one was removed) when I bit into a soft piece of bread for my first real food. Then 12 weeks of even more intense pain and topped off with dry socket. Unbearable.
