New suit
I did deadlifts for the first time on Sunday, which means my hamstrings are very sore today. Do deadlifts even work the hamstrings? I have no idea. But whatever, by doing deadlifts, I was the most bad-ass person in the gym, even though I didn't have any weights on the barbell. Maybe next week I'll throw on one of those cute 2.5-pound plates. Aw.
I'm picking up my new suit tomorrow after work. It is black-ish and pinstriped. It was the first suit I tried on in the store, which means that fate ordained my purchase or that I wasn't looking hard enough. Either way, it looks fantastic. I'll post a picture later this week.
On a side note, I needed a new suit because I outgrew the others. In just a few months, I went from a size 38R to a size 43R. All muscle, I'm sure.

Deadlifts are the bestest.exercise.evar. Well, those and squats. Those two alone will work wonders. Just be careful not to throw out your back like I did a couple of months ago. Then again, I'm a gramps, so... :P
Oh, and then, you can move on to the many different variations! I'm currently on a sumo deadlift binge. You get even more crazy stares at the gym. Fun, fun.

of course, we'll need to see pics of suit on and then off to actually see and appreciate these changes

Deadlifts are the best, of course I'm four inches shorter, making them ten time easier. Also R-R is right about Squats too.
What I really want to see is a pic of you doing sumo deadlifts in your suit.

Yeah I'm surprised you haven't been doing dead lifts already. my partner talks them up every day as do the other serious guys in the gym. They are suppose to work almost everything so your hamstrings should feel something. hmm maybe it's just "gay leg syndrome" where gays only work their upper body....
TOBY SAYS: I do heavy leg workouts including freestyle squats once a week. I have great legs and an even greater ass.

Deadlifts definitely work hamstrings. Try doing them with a reverse grip, or even one hand each in different positions. Form is really important in this exercise -- don't round your back.
This is one of the easiest exercises to wind up with terrible form if you are attempting too much weight.

well squats are my favorite! never tried freestyle squats yet but after looking them up I'll try them too. Just remember to look straight ahead when doing dead lifts to keep your form and back right
